COUNSELLOR

Jennifer is an experienced counsellor whose approach is grounded in empathy, cultural sensitivity, and respect for diversity. For the past ten years Jennifer has worked to support rangatahi and their whānau to overcome a wide range of challenges such as anxiety, depression, emotional regulation difficulties, self-worth struggles, interpersonal difficulties, grief/loss, stress, and self-harm behaviours.

Jennifer is a bi-cultural supervisor who is experienced in working cross culturally. She recognizes the importance of incorporating bi-cultural perspectives/frameworks into her work, ensuring that individuals from all backgrounds feel heard and understood.

Jennifer utilises client centred and evidence-based approaches to build resilience and foster positive change. She draws upon mindfulness practice, Functional Family Therapy (FFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and provides a safe and inclusive space for her clients to explore their concerns and journey towards healing and personal growth.

Jennifer is a registered member of the New Zealand Association of Counsellors.
