About Tiffany

Kia ora, my name is Tiffany.

I am a queer, Pākeha clinical psychologist living in Tāmaki Makaurau/ Auckland.

I completed my psychology training at Ōtākou Whakaihu Waka | The University of Otago. I'm really passionate about providing therapy for the Rainbow community, and in the woman's health space.

Outside of work, I like to spend my weekends at the beach, hanging out with my friends, or at home with my cat, Māui.

I'm also studying Te Reo Māori at Te Wānanga o Aotearoa.

SCHEMA

  • I completed my PhD and Postgraduate Diploma of Clinical Psychology at Ōtākou Whakaihu Waka | The University of Otago. I have a background working at a Kaupapa Māori secondary level mental health service, which means I have experience supporting whānau with complex mental health needs.

My therapeutic style is heavily informed by my previous work at a Kaupapa Māori service.

I use an integrative approach to therapy, meaning I draw on several therapeutic approaches to make a personalised plan according to your goals. Generally, my therapy prioritises having an affirmative and supportive space to work through emotional challenges, learn new skills, and better understand yourself.

I work relationally, meaning a focus of my therapy is building a positive therapeutic relationship where clients and I can show up authentically. I believe authentic relationships in therapy are a great place to support you in building healthy, connected relationships within your life.

  • Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)

    Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

    Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT)

    Schema Therapy

  • Typically, we will spend the initial session getting to know each other, and I will hear from you about your goals for therapy, the challenges you're facing and together we will come up with a therapeutic plan.
